Sporty is smart enough to match a registration form against a person so you can see what registration activity a person has completed at your organisation.
Sometimes there is not enough information on the registration form for Sporty to have complete confidence that the registration is for the same person, so 'likely matches' are identified in the Duplicates tab within the Relationships tab for the person record.
You can also run a Potential Duplicates report. This report provides a listing of any people that share the same First Name and Last Name, and provides an interactive link to allow you to merge/link two people together if you determine that the two records are the same person. See this support article.
Merge duplicates
- Click the Check button next to each 'likely match'.
- Any fields that are different between the two records will appear for selection.
- Click the radio button next to the field you want to retain on the person.
a. If you are not sure, you can click Cancel and come back to it later.
b. If you do not think this is the same person, click Not a duplicate.
c. If you think the person is a match, click Merge (clubs and schools) or Link (RSO/NSO) to combine the registrations onto one person record.
4. When there are no further likely matches remaining, the duplicates tab will display 'No
duplicates to review'.
People records with 2 different user accounts are unable to be merged without first removing 1 of the usernames. This can be done in the username screen, click here for more information.
