SKED lets you create a competition that includes multiple grades and multiple phases of play within a single competition. For example, a typical winter competition for junior sport might include 6 grades, each playing an initial phase of round robin rounds, followed by a phase of semi-finals and final games. We recommend creating a single competition for multiple grades that share the same venues and playing days. This makes it easy to optimise venue utilisation, with a view across all venues. There is no requirement for each grade within a competition to follow the same format, for example one grade might play a double round robin before semi finals and finals, where as another grade might split into top/bottom sections in round two and then progress to semi finals and finals.

Creating a Competition
1. Login to your Sporty Site, go to your Dashboard then click the SKED tile.
2. Select the year/season that you want to create the competition for and Click + to open the Add Competition modal. You can choose and existing folder to store the new competition in, or a folder will be required to be chosen or created when the new competition is saved.
3. Complete the details in the Competition modal, click Save & Continue.
1. Competition Name: Enter the name of the competition.
2. Select a Player Form: Select the Player Form that this competition relates to. Recommended - Use the Superform provided by your national body which has been applied to your site. Or create a Local form prior to creating the competition for it appear in this drop-down. Important: If your organisation is using a scoring app, you must select the Superform when creating your competition. This is required to generate a Team Access Code for each team to use for scoring.
4. Team Entry Form Name: This will be auto-populated from the name of the competition. Update this manually by editing the Team Entry form once created through TeamBuilder.
5. Grades: Select which grades this competition is to include.
6. Select Organisations: Select which organisations are allowed to enter this competition. If any new organisations sign up after the competition has been created, the competition will need to be edited and their organisation enabled.
** It is useful to restrict who sees your competition Team Entry Form. For example, if schools contribute to your competitions and you have a Primary School specific competition, you can then select to display this competition Team Entry form only to primary schools ie. not to intermediate or secondary schools. This simplifies the registration process so organisations only see the competitions relevant to them.
7. Display Organisation Names: Untick this option to only display the team names in SKED and on draws. When ticked, the Organisation Name will display with the team name following.
8. Venues: Select or deselect venues that the competition is to be held at. This option will become available once the name of the competition has been entered.
