Editing an existing competition
Once you have opened the existing competition, you can then edit it. To edit this existing competition, click the edit pencil to the right of the competition name displayed.
Please note that you cannot update the name of the Player Form, or the Team Entry form from SKED. This can only be done in TeamBuilder.
a) Renaming a competition
If you are renaming a competition, either delete or amend the current competition name entered in the Competition Name space identified. If this is all your changing, ensure that you click Save Competition before closing the modal.
Please note that updating the competition name in SKED will not update the name on the Team Entry form. To update the name of the Team Entry form you must do this in TeamBuilder.
b) Grade selection changes: adding/removing grades
If you want to make changes to the grades you have applied to the competition, click the drop-down Grade field and select or un-select grades from the list. If this is all your changing, ensure that you click Save Competition before closing the modal.
For help with adding new grades, please see our support article: TeamBuilder 2 (Blue) - Grade Attributes - For Competition Administrators
c) Organisation changes: adding/removing organisations
If you have had additional clubs or schools associate to your organisation after you have set your competition(s) up, you will need to make sure that you add them specifically to the competition otherwise they will not be able to enter.
To do this, click the Select Organisations drop-down and select (or un-select if removing) the appropriate clubs or schools from the list provided.
Please note that only clubs and schools that have been mapped to your organisation will appear in the list to select from. If they do not appear, they have not been mapped to your organisation and you will need to contact support@sportsground.com.
d) Hide/Show organisation name
By default, Display Organisation Names is enabled (displayed with a ticked checkbox). This means that the competition organiser will see the organisation name placed before the team name, e.g. ABC Sports Club: Bears. If this is disabled (by unticking the checkbox), the view changes to show Bears.
This gives you greater flexibility with how you display your teams.

Please note that this change is not limited to being only visible in SKED, it is also visible within the public view of Draws and Results.
e) Venue changes: adding/removing venues
This will determine which venues will appear in the schedule and venue view for the competition, and will auto default to “Select all” if no selection is made when adding the competition.
To make changes, click the Venues link to view what venues have been selected, or are available to be selected. Select or de-select as necessary and click Save to return to the Edit Competition modal.
Select or de-select any appropriate options, then click Save.
f) Changing the competition folder
This determines which folder the competition is saved within. By default, this option will always be set to "General" but by clicking into folder you can change where the competition is saved to, as well, you can choose to create a new competition folder to save the competition into.
For more information on Competition Folders, click here.
Select which folder you would like to save the competition into, then click update competition. This will close the edit competition modal returning you to the SKED view of your competition.
g) Setting grade closing dates and maximum teams
Closing dates for Team Entry and Team Building, and Maximum Team Entries can be set from within SKED against any grade included in the Superform associated with the SKED competition.

The modal for closing dates opens as displayed. Update the necessary fields then click Save to return to the Edit Competition modal.
