Overview
Many sports codes use the Sporty competition management system (SKED) to manage their fixtures and results. Many competition organisers that use SKED also use the Match Day App from Sporty.
The Match Day App is connected to SKED so it understands all the upcoming game fixtures for which teams are playing each other, where and when.
The Match Day App is also connected to TeamBuilder, so when clubs/schools drag & drop players into teams in TeamBuilder, it automatically updates the squad lists in the Match Day App.
The match Day App is also connected to the Sporty website widget that displays Draws/Results so when a game is being scored, this can update live on the websites of clubs/schools and other organisations.
Note: The Home team (left side of the draw) must be scoring the game for live scoring to be visible.
Instructions for your sports code
Different sports codes have different methods of scoring. For example, Netball scores 1 point at a time and games are normally separated into Quarters, whereas Rugby Union scores differently for Tries, Penalties and Conversions, and games are normally separated into Halves. Therefore, there are different instructions for the Match Day App for different sports codes.
