Seeded playoffs can be used for tournaments where positioning of teams in the playoff is not based on rankings from a prior phase, but instead based on seeding teams to position them in the first level of the playoff. A Playoff type phase can have up to 4 four levels; Preliminary Final (P), Quarter Final (Q), Semi Final (S) and Final (F). A selection of levels must be made when creating the playoff.
A matrix can be used to populate a seeded playoff, meaning that the winner and loser of games in each level of the playoff will follow the path of the matrix. This type of playoff can be used for grading tournaments or knockout tournaments.

Editing a Playoff phase name
If a different name for each level of a playoff is required, the Preliminary, Quarter, Semi and Final phases can be renamed. Select the edit pencil next to the phase name
Rename and save the phase name. This will also automatically update the fixture labels with only the uppercase and numerical characters of the new name
Public notes will be updated to the new fixture label
Note: If public notes had been added to the matrix of a seeded playoff, this would have been overwritten with the new fixture labels
Editing Fixture Labels Individually
Fixture labels can be edited individually using the edit pencil next to each label
Once edited, the new fixture label will be inherited in winner/loser labels in rounds to follow.
Editing a matrix before games are played
A Matrix can be changed before games have been played by going to Phase Settings and selecting Draw Type and then the matrix settings cog
A warning will be presented. Any changes made to the matrix will be reflected in the draw once saved.
Manual editing once tournament is underway
If changes are required once games have been played, fixture icons can be dragged into new positions to modify the upcoming rounds. If the draw has been added to the calendar, it will need to be removed prior to rearranging icons.
Adding results
Results can be submitted via the scoring app if in use or manually added in SKED Draws & Results. Once a result is submitted the fixture icons of the next phase will automatically populate with team names.
