When all results have been submitted in the phase contributing to the playoffs, the icons will be replaced with team names. If you have teams on equal points, they may need to be manually re-ranked in Standings. The manual ranking will be reflected when team names populate icons.
When there is more than one section in a grade in the linked phase, and one section finishes playing before the other, teams can populate playoff placeholder icons and commence playing their playoffs, providing they are not relying on the section still playing to determine rankings in their playoff fixtures.
SKED will not allow a playoff to be scored unless both placeholder icons have been populated with team names. Nor will you be able to modify a result in the linked phase, when teams have already populated playoff placeholders and the playoff has commenced.
If a score is accidentally added to a playoff ahead of time, not only would the score and app submissions need to be removed, the contributing or linked phase standings table will also need to be re-loaded by clicking the rank teams option. This ensures that the playoff can be played as required.
