Adding a fixture using the + icon is useful for cross-section fixtures within a grade - for example, scheduling a game between two bye teams from different sections, or scheduling a doubleheader between a bye team and one other team.
Note: Games added with the + icon will automatically default to non-competition games unless you tick Show in Ladder in Draws & Results.
While the draw is in edit mode:
- Delete the bye game.
- Use the + icon to schedule a fixture between the two bye teams, or between the bye team and one other team.
- Re-add the draw to the calendar.
- If the + icon fixtures involve teams from different sections, repeat this process in both sections, but leave the fixture unallocated in the second section.
- Go to the venue view for each date, and drag & drop the unallocated fixture to the same venue and time as the first section’s fixture.
Important: When the results of the cross section bye games count towards a standings table that is linked to a Playoff type phase, the results need to be added to both versions of the game, in order to apply the result to the teams in each of their standings tables. The games must be set to "Show in ladder" in SKED Draws & Results.
Note: a clash will be flagged with a red outline surrounding one of the fixtures. This isn’t technically a clash, as it’s the same fixture assigned to each section.
