Sometimes a competition consists of a phase that needs to be repeated later in the season. For example, a round robin phase is scheduled before school holidays, followed by a second round robin phase of games after the holidays. In this situation, you may wish the second phase of games to repeat the same draw of fixtures from the first phase. This is a Repeat Phase.
Alternatively, in competitions that play with a home/away format, a round robin phase may be completed. You would then want the subsequent round robin phase to follow the same draw, but reversing whichever team plays a home game. For example, in the first phase, Marist v Old Boys play at Marist home ground and in the second phase Old Boys v Marist play at Old Boys home ground. This is a Reverse Phase.
SKED™ can automatically create a repeated phase of games or a reversed phase of games for you.
1. Click + Add Phase.
2. Enter the phase name in the text box as required.
3. Select the Repeat or Reverse option from the Phase type dropdown then select from the Linked to dropdown list which phase you want to repeat or reverse.
Note: this can be any phase in the competition and does not need to be the immediately preceding phase.
5. Set the dates for the new phase.
Note: When creating a repeat or reverse phase the same number of dates as the linked phase must be added for each grade. If there are some grades that are not repeating or reversing the linked phase and require a different number of dates, then this can be edited in phase settings once the repeat/reverse phase has been created.
6. Click Save.
