Some competitions have multiple phases within a single competition - such as grading rounds, competition rounds, championship rounds, and a finals round. SKED lets you add as many phases as you wish. Each phase can include the same teams as other phases, with its own draw generated for it. Not all grades need to take part in every phase.
Adding a Phase
1. Click + Add Phase.
2. Amend the phase name in the text box at the top of the modal, as required.
3. Select the type of phase you want to create from the options in the drop-down list.
4. If you’ve selected Playoff, Crossover, Repeat, or Reverse, you’ll now need to select the phase it’s linked to, so this new dependent phase can be generated.
5. Modify the grade defaults inherited from the Organisation Settings menu, as required.
6. Click Add.
Adding a Playoff or Crossover Phase
Creating a playoff or crossover phase lets you plan upcoming fixtures that need to be scheduled before the teams playing are known. These phases are created with placeholder icons to represent a team’s position in the standings table until the contributing phase is completed and the final standings are known. This phase type is highly flexible and can be customised to your exact requirements.
