Overview
There are several different scenarios when a team is removed or added to an existing competition. The following examples are based on typical situations that may arise either before a competition gets underway or once in progress.
We recommend exporting the draw before it is removed from the calendar to retain a record of any manual editing previously performed or officials assigned. Any assigned officials will need to be re-assigned once the draw is returned to the calendar, and the fixtures will need to be re-published.
It is important to note that regenerating a draw will override any manual editing, replacing it with a standard draw using SKED™ algorithms. Regenerating a draw mid-way through a competition will not take into consideration fixtures that have already been played and could unbalance the draw resulting in teams playing each other more than once or not playing some teams at all.
