The Custom tab area allows for greater flexibility to view a unique and customised set of data that is most important to your organisation. With it, you can pick specific questions from different forms and have them all laid out in this tab for your quick reference. Each person's profile will then have the custom tab and, if they have completed those forms, their answers to those questions will be pre-populated in this view. You can also update their answers/information, and it will update the form that it corresponds to.
Setting up the Custom Tab
To set this up on SuperCRM, click on Settings then click on Custom Tab.
Here you can rename the custom tab, and add sections and questions to appear in the custom tab.
Add a name to your custom tab (this is the label of the custom tab on the person's profile). Next, add a section by clicking on +Add Section.
Name the section, and then decide if you want the section to be expanded when you open the custom tab on a person’s profile or condensed.
You can then add the questions that you would like to display inside the section by clicking on + Add Question.
Select the question by identifying the folder a form is contained in, the form that contains the question, and finally the question you wish to display. Now click Apply.
You can modify the display of the custom tab by resizing the questions. To do this, hover over the right side of the question text field until the resize icon appears. Then, increase or decrease the width of the question to the size you would like.
When you have chosen the fields that you want to show on the tab and laid out how you want them to appear, click Save.
Custom Tab on the Person Record
The custom tabs on all the records on your SuperCRM will now display the values entered on each registration form. To view this, click on a person's name to go to their profile and click on the custom tab (now named Additional Information).
The question responses can also be modified directly from this view, provided the person has completed the registration form containing the question, and you have sufficient permissions.*
If a person has completed more than one registration to the same form, the most recently submitted (last) registration value will display.
Note: There may be some limitations on the fields that you can edit based depending on what has been set by your parent organisation.
If you have updated the information displayed on the custom tab, ensure you click Submit to save the changes before navigating away. These changes will then reflect on the registration form.
Note: If the person has not completed a registration form that contains the question, the field will be grey and you will be unable to edit it from this view. You will need to add a new registration from the Registrations tab to populate a value on the custom tab.
