You can get started on assigning duty teams once you have generated a draw and added it to the calendar. To speed up this process, assigning duty teams to all fixtures in a phase can be achieved automatically in SKED.
See here for a quick guide on how to generate and add a draw to the calendar or here for manually assigning officials and duty teams to fixtures in SKED.

How to Automatically Assign Duty Teams
We recommend that if Volleyball Administrators will be assigning a subset of fixtures to qualified/badged referees in roles "Referee 1" and "Referee 2", that these roles are assigned/re-assigned after the automated duty team allocation process is completed.

Duty Teams will now be assigned to all future fixtures in the phase
Note: a message will be displayed if a duty team wasn't able to be assigned to any fixture automatically. This can happen if other eligible duty teams aren't available due any of the conditions below.
You can manually assign duty teams to any remaining fixtures when this happens.
Note: you are able to automatically assign duty teams to Playoff and Crossover phases while only the placeholder team names are shown. Once all fixtures in the linked phase have been scored, the expected team names will automatically be pulled through to replace the placeholders in the Playoff/Crossover phase. The team's organisation name won't be displayed when the team is automatically assigned as a Duty Team.
How does Automatic Duty Team allocation work?
Teams are assigned to fixtures scheduled immediately after they play, unless they are a third round team that is required to duty for a first round team.
Assignments are distributed evenly across all teams in the phase so teams generally have an equal number of duties to complete.
Teams can only be assigned to duty for fixtures in their grade or lower grades.
Priority Order: Assignment will be prioritised in order of:
- fixtures in the same grade
- fixtures in 1-2 grades lower
- fixtures in 3+ grades lower
For more information on setting the order of grades, see the article here.
Tournament Schedule Pattern: For tournaments, where scheduled fixture allocations have allowed, duty team assignment will attempt to follow the sequence of: Play → Duty → Break → Play → Duty → Break
Assignment Rules: Teams will be ineligible to be automatically allocated duty for a fixture:
- for a higher graded team
- if their own game is scheduled to play at the same time or immediately before
- if a fixture is scheduled at a different location
Can I Change Duty Teams After They Have Been Automatically Assigned?
Yes, you are able to manually add or remove any duty team assignments that were made automatically.
Note: If you run the automatic assignment again, any manual changes that you had made will be overwritten.
What if some of my grades duty for themselves?
Standalone competitions should be created for Junior Grades where teams duty themselves.
