The Edit Game modal allows SKED administrators to manage team lineups, game events, and disciplinary cases for Football and Futsal all within a single modal.
In this article:
How to Access the Edit Game Modal
The Edit Game modal can be accessed by clicking the 'edit pencil' icon next to a team name on the Draws & Results tab in SKED.
Lineup
This tab allows SKED administrators to view and edit team lineups. This includes:
- Team Player Selection - including players from other eligible teams
- Teams from the same or lower level grades in the same competition are considered to be eligible
- Team Official Selection
- Uniform Number Allocation
- Selecting the:
- Starting Players
- Goalkeeper
- Captain
Click the 'edit pencil' icon next to the team name to open the Teamsheet modal.
From here, you can manage all of the options mentioned above.
Note: only one Captain and one Starting Goalkeeper can be submitted in the lineup.
Scroll down to see the additional options for selecting a player from another squad and selecting team officials.
Timeline
This tab allows SKED administrators to view and edit the fixture's game events e.g. goals, substitutions, and cards.
New events can be added by clicking the 'Add Event' button for the relevant team at the top of the timeline. Some events will require additional information which can be selected in the new fields that are displayed.
Note: the type of event selected will filter the list of people that can be selected e.g. a 'Team Official Yellow Card' can only be applied to a Team Official.
Once the required events have been added or edited, click the Submit Result button at the top of the tab. You can also click the Clear Changes button to get rid of any unsaved changes that you had made.
You can also delete all game event details by clicking the Delete Team Submissions button at the bottom left of the tab.
Important: Submitting disciplinary game events (yellow or red cards) to the timeline will automatically generate a disciplinary case. However, to prevent duplicates or overwriting, the automatic generation only occurs if the team has no existing disciplinary cases for the fixture. To manage these fixtures, use the Disciplinary Cases tab to manually add, edit, or delete cases as required.
Disciplinary Cases
This tab allows SKED administrators to view, add, and edit disciplinary cases for both teams.
Click the Add New Case button to create a new disciplinary case. This will open a new modal where you can select the Player/Official, Event Occurrence, Event Time, Game Event Type, Reason, and a comment for the disciplinary case.
Fill in the required fields and then click Create to add the new disciplinary case.
Existing disciplinary cases can be edited by clicking on the magnifying glass icon, or deleted by clicking on the bin icon.
Important: Manually adding, editing, or deleting a disciplinary case will not automatically add, update, or delete any corresponding game events on the fixture timeline.
