IMPORTANT: Set your form to be CLOSED until you have ensured it is correctly configured for the new season.
All national sports organisations that use Sporty for their official registration system automatically provide online forms through the Sporty platform for their affiliated clubs/schools each year. Each club/school can then login and configure their version of the online form with their own text, question fields, products and pricing. Instructions for this are here.
Once you've configured your form, it will retain your settings for the new form released for your club/school next year. It is therefore important that you promptly check your form each time a new version is released for the new season, to ensure that your text, question fields, products and pricing are correct for the new season.
The first step is always to ensure your online registration form is CLOSED until it is ready for use. Follow the instructions below to set the opening and/or closing dates for your forms.
NOTE: These settings relate to the public display of your form only. You can still access and add entries to your form when you are logged into Sporty as an Administrator, even if the form is closed.
To manage your forms, go to your Dashboard and click the Online Registrations tile.
Identify the online form you wish to operate on, then click the Edit pencil button on the right:
-
Click the orange Advanced Options button to open the settings area, then set your own Start date for entries and/or Final date for entries. Note that you can also set a time too if you wish. These settings control when your form is open to the public.
Save your form
REMINDER: When you are logged into Sporty as an Administrator you can view and complete your form irrespective of these opening and closing dates. This is useful if you want to:
Preview the form before it opens, to check layout and questions
Test your form, by submitting your own registration
Manually add registrations after your form has closed to the public
Public users (not logged in as Admins) will still only be able to access the form during the designated open period.
NOTE: If your form has an opening date and closing date set by your national body, you are still able to set your own opening date and/or closing date within those national dates.
