This article is for administrators using SKED Competition Management System.
When people want to see their game draws & results, the first place they tend to look is the website of the competition manager. Sporty makes it easy for competition managers who are using SKED competition management system to display a Draws & Results widget on their website from Sporty.
Whenever you alter the details of a fixture in SKED such as the location, date/time, or which teams are playing, the system will automatically update the Draws & Results widget for you (if they are set in SKED to be published).
Although people will typically revisit your website to double-check game fixtures near the date of their game, some competition managers like to proactively notify people about alterations they make to fixtures.
SKED includes a checkbox setting Publish Alterations. If you tick this checkbox for a fixture, then that fixture will be included in your Alterations Report. Note that the alterations report displays the current details of the fixture at the time the report is run.
The Alterations Report can be generated from SKED by clicking the Export button that is visible on the Draws & Results tab.
This lets you choose which competitions and grades will be included in the report, in addition to the date/time range for the report. Ensure that you select Alternations from the Export drop-down list. Most commonly you will want the report to be in PDF format.
IMPORTANT: you are not limited to exporting only the current competition you have open in SKED. You can select multiple competitions for multiple sports during the export if you wish. If your export is large, it will generate the report in the background and email it to you.
Once you have selected your settings, click Export to generate the alterations report. For further information on export options, click here.
Members of the public can also generate an Alteration Report from your Draws & Results widget on your website from Sporty. This is achieved by firstly selecting one competition, then clicking the Export link on the right-hand side of the widget and selecting Alteration Report from the dropdown list.
Note that this method limits people to exporting the alteration report for one single competition at a time (over a 7 day period). The report will automatically download in PDF format as shown in the example below.
