Q. Is there a chargeback fee if a person challenges the transaction showing on their credit card statement?
A. Yes, if a person contacts their bank or credit card issuer and disputes your charge, you will be contacted and asked to supply proof the charge was correct. This would normally be satisfied by you supplying a copy of the online form that was completed by the person. You will incur a $25 chargeback fee to contribute towards the cost of the investigation, even if the dispute was spurious. You may wish to add to your own terms that you will claim the cost of any disproven disputes back to the claimant.
Q. How do we display products/services and pricing on a web form?
A. Refer to this support article for step by step instructions.
Q. What happens when someone completes a web form on our website and pays online?
A. Everyone who completes an online form will automatically receive an email confirmation that includes all details of the form. Their record is added to your online member database. Everyone who pays online when they register will automatically also receive a transaction receipt that records the details of the payment they submitted.
Q. Some people have paid us via automated overnight Direct Debit in the past through Debitsuccess. Can we retain that payment method in conjunction with cheaper credit card payments through VostroPay?
A. No. If you wish to accept payments via automated Direct Debit then you'll need to also use Debitsuccess for credit card payments.
Q. Can we set our online forms so that people must pay to become registered (i.e. "no pay, no play")??
A. Yes. Tick the checkbox on your form settings labelled "Decline registration if payment unsuccessful".
Q. Are credit card details stored anywhere on the Sporty platform?
A. No. Credit card payments are processed securely via our PCI-compliant payment processors. Sporty does not hold credit card details.
Q. Is there a minimum transaction value?
A. The minimum total transaction value must be $3 or greater to be processed by Sport$pay. However, you can have a minimum amount of $0. If this is selected, the registration will be accepted. A situation where this might be used is if you have a product of Membership Fee of $10 and a second product of Coach of $0. Members are required to pay $10, and coaches would pay $0 (as membership fee are waived for coaches).
Q. Can we add the transaction fee to the amount people pay online?
A. Yes, simply tick the check-box in your form settings and it will automatically add the applicable transaction fee for you.
Q. Most banks or merchant services also charge a monthly merchant fee ranging from $10 - $50 per month in addition to the transaction percentage. Are there any monthly merchant fees?
A. No. This saves you from paying fees during months when you are not processing transactions.
Q. What reporting is available?
A. Each instance of payment is recorded automatically against the person's record in your online registrations database. So you can see the payment balance for each person at a glance in your database overview screen (when you click into the database associated with a web form). You can export a database to Excel with just one click, and this file also shows the payment balance along with columns for each product you've added to your web form. There is also a Payment Transaction report available at the top of the page when you go to your Dashboard > Online Registrations tile.

Q. Can I set my GST Number to appear on the person's receipt so they can use it as a valid tax invoice?
A. Yes. The payer will receive a transaction receipt to their email after purchasing a product. This email acknowledges that a payment was submitted, but receipt of actual payment is unconfirmed until the funds clear. You can choose to add your GST number to this receipt by entering your GST number in the 'GST Number' field in the Admin Settings area of your Sporty Dashboard.
Q. Can we connect our online payments to Xero or MYOB?
A. Yes. See this support article.
Note: You can still enable Xero or MYOB without accepting payments through Sporty if you prefer people to pay you in cash or via internet banking, but you will then need to manually record payments for each transaction.
