When you log into Sporty, you'll see several registration forms available to your club. This guide explains what each form is for, who needs to complete it, and how the data flows through the national registration system.
These forms capture all participant types: players, coaches, referees, volunteers, and school or social participants - ensuring accurate records for competitions, eligibility, communications, and club operations across New Zealand.

Registration Database Distribution
Registration Databases
Each registration form automatically collates the information into its own database. If one person performs multiple roles within your organisation (E.g. they are both a coach and a player), they will have a separate registration for each role.
Likewise, if someone is involved in both Football and Futsal, they will have a registration for each activity.

Clubs and Federations can view, filter, and export the people contained within each database independently.
Below is an explanation of each form:
Football / Premier Futsal Player Registration
Used by: Junior, Youth, Talent Development and Senior players.
Purpose:
- Registers the individual as a player with a club.
- Ensures they are recorded in the National Registration System.
- One club registration per person per season (exceptions apply).
If you use Friendly Manager or Club Hub, registrations submitted through your front-facing form are pushed to this Sporty form via an API integration
Fantails Player Registration
Used by: Participants in Fantails programmes.
Purpose:
- Registers participants in the Fantails community programme.
- Can co-exist with a player's club registration.

Notes:
Fantails players will be invited to confirm their registration each term.
These players default to being Active on registration.
Eligibility Player Registration
Used by: Players seeking permission to represent more than one team/club.
Purpose:
- Supports applications for special eligibility.
Notes:
Players requires federation approval before being marked active.
Sunday League / Social Futsal Registration
Used by: Players in casual, social, or recreational competitions.
Purpose:
- Registers players for non-competitive formats.
- Does not impact club registrations — both can co-exist.
- Used by clubs/schools participating in team-based social competitions.
Notes:
These players default to being Active on registration.
School Football Player Registration
Used by: Students playing in School Football Teams, competing in predominately school based competitions.
Purpose:
- Registers the player to participate for their school.
- Can be held alongside a club registration.
Notes:
These players default to being Active on registration.
Coach Registration
Used by: Coaches at clubs, schools or federations across all levels (including Junior In-House).
Purpose:
- Confirms the individual’s coaching role.
- Captures certifications, contact details, and eligibility.
Administrator / Volunteer Registration
Used by: Club-based Referees, Team Managers, Medical/Physio, Team Assistant Managers, Committee Members, Volunteers, and operational staff.
Purpose:
- Records non-playing/non-coaching roles at the club.
- Supports administration, governance, and communication.
Referee Registration
Used by: Referees and referee assessors.
Purpose:
- Registers match officials with the appropriate federation.
- Supports appointments, accreditation tracking, and communication.
- Note: Club Based Referees should be registered through the Admin/Volunteer form.

Linked People Profiles
