NZF have a function that suspends Football players from competing automatically when they accumulate too many yellow cards.
The accumulated yellow card logic implements automatic suspension of a single game after a person accumulates 5 cards, 7 cards and 9 cards. On the 10th instance of a Yellow card in the season, the player will appear in front of the disciplinary committee.
Accumulated Yellow Cards do not automatically generate stand-downs for Futsal, as card accumulation is often calculated on a per competition basis.
Excluding Competitions from Accumulated Card Counts
Some competitions (E.g. Tournaments) should not accumulate towards a players total card events for seasonal competitions. SKED Administrators can click the Edit Pencil in Teambuilder or SKED to modify the competition settings, and check the option to exclude a competition from accumulated card events.
Application of Accumulated Card Suspension
A disciplinary case with a 1 match suspension will be automatically generated and made Active when the system identifies a player has reached the accumulated card limits. This Active disciplinary case will be assigned against the fixture that the player received the Yellow card event in that generated the exclusion.
If required, Federations can use the Disciplinary Sanctions view to over-ride the accumulated card suspension sanction.
Reporting on Accumulated Cards
Clubs and Federations can report on player counts of accumulated yellow cards by clicking the Reports icon in SuperCRM, then selecting the Accumulated Cards Report.
Accumulated Yellow Cards for Futsal
Accumulated Yellow Cards do not automatically generate stand-downs for Futsal, as the rules for, and application of card accumulation can differ or be associated with a specific competition or tournament.
Competition Administrators can run a statistics report to identify how many yellow cards have been accumulated within a specific competition. Competition Administrators can then manually apply a stand-down to a player's most recent yellow card disciplinary case to enact a stand-down due to the accumulation of maximum number of Yellow Cards.
