To avoid teams that have a fixture defaulted against them being disadvantaged through their goal differential calculations. When a status of a fixture is recorded as defaulted a score can be applied to the winning and losing team which will automatically update the standings For/Against/Differential.
This setting can either be added in Organisation Settings – Grade Defaults – Advanced Options and inherited automatically in phase settings or can be added to phase settings by clicking the settings cog to open the Phase Settings Modal check on Advanced Options to set the value you would like to apply for that grade.
Note: The points will automatically populate against the fixture when the fixture status is set to defaulted, and will not be assigned to a player.
Additionally, the status of the game will be updated in the Widget display of the draw on your website if Publish Results is enabled. Instead of the venue displaying on the draw, the status of the game will be displayed in Red Text to make it clear to the user that their game is not on.
Venue availability for defaulted, postponed or cancelled fixtures
If the status of a game changes, meaning the fixture is no longer scheduled to be played on that date, the venue originally scheduled to host the fixture will become available for use for other fixtures on that date.
Once the status of the fixture is changed, the venue for the fixture will change to Unallocated.
