It is easy for you to obtain a direct link (URL) for either your Online Registration forms, or a Team Entry form for a competition that you run. This includes forms you have created locally and also any official forms (SuperForms) supplied on the Sporty platform by your governing body. See step 1 below.
In addition, if you want people to be redirected to a specific page after they complete one of your forms, you can set a 'return address' within the direct link (URL) for your form to force this behaviour. See step 2 below.
1. How to create a link to a form
Online Registrations
Go to Dashboard > Online Registrations
Go to the folder your form resides in, then click the link button beside the name of the form. This is the button that looks like links of chain (dark green button in the top right of the image below).
This displays the link (URL) for the form. You can copy the address of this link by clicking the black Copy Link button to the right of the link address.
Team Entry Form
If you are a competition owner (i.e. you run a competition), you can obtain a direct link to the competition's Team Entry form from TeamBuilder.
Against the specific competition, select the link button identified below to copy the form URL. The icon will change to a tick once the link has been copied.
Now paste this link (from either Online Registrations or TeamBuilder) into an email or Facebook, or display it elsewhere online.
Each form has a unique link, so whenever someone clicks on your link they will be taken to your form. You can test this yourself by pasting the link into your web browser address bar and seeing that it opens your form. Whenever someone submits your form, their record will be added to your database for that form.
2. Create a link with a return address (URL).
Go to Dashboard > Online Registrations
Go to the folder your form resides in, then click the link button beside the name of the form. This is the button that looks like links of chain (dark green button in the top right of the image below).
This displays the link (URL) for the form. Now add the address of the page you want people to be directed to once they submit your form. Enter this into the input box beneath the heading, 'Optional - include a return URL that people will be redirected to once they submit this form:'
Then click Update Link on the right.
This will modify the link for you to include the return address. You can copy the address of this link by clicking the black Copy Link button to the right of the link address.
Now paste this link into an email or Facebook, or display it elsewhere online.

You can test this yourself by pasting the link into your web browser address bar and seeing that it opens your form. Whenever someone submits your form, their record will be added to your database for that form and they will be taken to the page you have specified as a return URL.
