Q: Teams do not have a Team Access Code. Why is this?
A: If your competition is using the scoring app the competition must be created using the Superform as the Player Form when the competition is created.
Q: Can I adjust my view of TeamBuilder to provide more or less visibility of a section?
A: There is a black bar in the middle of TeamBuilder that is used to split your screen into two sections. This can be clicked on and dragged left to right if on desktop, or up and down if on mobile.
Q: How can I view just those registrants who are not already in a team?
A: There are two display options available at the top of your TeamBuilder view: Not in a team and In a team. Select one or the other to alter your view, alternatively have both selected view all registered players.
Q: Can I see previous years registration databases or my School Roll so I can move people into teams for the current competition I'm in?
A: Yes. Click the database drop-down shown below and all other related databases will appear for you to select. If you have populated your School Roll form or have connected to KAMAR or Edge, you will be able to pull students directly from the roll into teams.
Note: pulling students directly from the school roll may require further information to be added to their registration form before they are classified as active. The registration form will open automatically when they are first moved. Update this at any time by clicking into the team and editing their registration record.
Q: When I move a person into a team, the registration form automatically opens, why?
A: The registration form has mandatory questions which haven't previously been answered by the person. The form opening automatically gives you the ability to update any mandatory questions at the time, otherwise close the pop-up and update this information at a later date. If you do not know the answers to the questions you can send the person their registration form to update themselves.
Q: Why is a registrant displaying in red font?
A: If your sporting code requires people to be made active before they should participate, they will be displayed in Red instead of Black in TeamBuilder.
Q: Why is a registrant displaying in grey font?
A: This registrant is inactive, or has been transferred.
Q: Why is a registrant displaying in italics?
A: This registrant has been entered into multiple teams within the same season for the same sport.
Note: Only if your sporting code allows for participants to be registered to multiple teams within the same season, could this occur.
Q: What do the dates beside each grade under Team entry cut-off and Player selection cut-off mean?
A: These are the dates which relate to the grade it is beside. Once these dates have been reached, you are then unable to add or edit teams, and are unable to add further players to the team.
Q: Why are some teams green, some grey and some red, and what does the number mean?
A: Each team entered into the competition has a colour visual identifier to show the team status, while the number represents the total number of members in the team.
- Red: A member (or members) within the team requires further action. This could be due to eligibility requirements not being met, mandatory questions on the individuals registration form not having been answered or because they are inactive. Click into the team to view further information.
- Green: Everything is okay with this team and no further action is required.
- Grey: This team is empty.
Q: Why does a member in a team have a red ! against them?
A: If a member in the team is red and had a red ! against them, this means that there is further action required. To find our what action is required, click the !.
Further action required could be for a variety of reasons depending on your Sport and competition organiser:
- your competition administrator requires a minimum number of coaches or players to be entered for the team,
- a person needs their registration to be approved,
- a person needs their ID to be checked for Police Vetting,
- there are unanswered mandatory fields on the registration form which were bypassed when they were first added to the team.
