You may wish to have a page that does not appear in your main menu, but is instead reached by visitors clicking a button or link that leads them to the page. This is not normally recommended, since it can result in 'orphaned' pages if you fail to provide some other way for visitors to reach the page. However, you may wish to conceal a page to simplify the appearance of your site menu, or to have a page that people can only find by following its specific URL (web address).
The Sporty platform lets you set a page to be concealed from your menu if you wish. People will still be able to access the page by clicking a link to the page or entering the page URL into their browser.
Note: The option to 'Conceal' a page differs from the option to 'Hide' a page because when you 'Hide' a page it makes that page unreachable even for people that know its URL address, whereas when you 'Conceal' a page, it remains reachable but simply won't appear publicly in your site menu.
1. To conceal a page from your menu, login to your site and hover over the name of the page you wish to conceal. Click the pencil icon in the top right hand corner of the page name and a dropdown menu will appear. Select Conceal from menu. This will conceal the page so that it no longer appears to the public.
2. You can tell when a page is concealed from your menu as it will show a visual indicator to identify that it is not being displayed in the public view of the menu.
3. To change the page back to reappear publicly in your menu, hover over the page name and click on the pencil icon in the top right hand corner. Select Display in menu. The page will now be visible in the menu to the public again.
