People that wish to perform administrative functions with the Sporty platform are generally required to login. Like most large online platforms, access is initially granted to one person at an organisation and that person is then able to grant access to other people. This 'trust model' allows organisations to be self-managing with user access control.
Sporty supports different levels of access for different roles within an organisation. Although many organisations simply give unlimited access to all administrators, you can limit each person's access to particular functionality within the platform as described below.
If you already have login access for Sporty, you are generally able to grant other people access up to the same level of access that you have yourself (or less). If you simply wish to give access to someone else, please follow the instructions in this support article.
IMPORTANT:
- Never share login credentials. Each administrator should use their own login only.
- Organisations must create their own internal policy in relation to who is granted access to different areas of the platform. For example, you might decide that a person is only allowed to access one single form/database. This also means that person cannot give anyone else access to any more than that single form/database.
- If you don't trust a person to follow your organisation's policies, they should not be given a login.
- Organisations should proactively remove (delete) access from staff/volunteers who leave your organisation.
- Organisations should regularly (e.g. annually) check who has login access, then remove access from people that no longer require it.

If you have received an email giving you login access, follow the instructions in the email to complete the process. If you already have a login for the organisation, you can click the link in the email and login to automatically be granted access. The email should state the level of access you've been granted, such as:

To update an existing user's permissions navigate to the Dashboard then to Admin Settings.
Navigate to Login and Access Control then click the edit icon beside the user whose access you are wanting to update.
Untick or tick the areas which require access to be updated then click Save. You will be prompted to confirm that you want to make changes to this user's access. Once confirmed, the user will then have their access updated.
