This article explains how to add content (like text, images and new sections) to a page on your website, using the +ADD CONTENT button.
NOTE: you can reduce the size of the +ADD CONTENT button. Click the X on the right-hand side of the button to permanently change its appearance to a green circle button like this:
Add a widget
1. Log in to your site.
2. Click +ADD CONTENT on the bottom left-hand side of the page.
If you're using a mobile or another device with a small screen, the button will appear as a green circle with at the bottom left of your screen:
3. Once you click the button, your page will show +ADD CONTENT in any positions where you can add content.
4. Click one of these +ADD CONTENT areas wherever you'd like to insert content. This will open a pop-up window that lets you choose the type of content to insert.
5. Make your selection and click Save.
Add a section
Your pages are made up of horizonal sections that are comprised of vertical columns for displaying content.
To add a new section, firstly click the green +Add Content button. You'll see +ADD SECTION appear in the locations where you can add a new section:
Click +ADD SECTION in the location you wish to insert a new section. This will open the Section Settings pop-up where you can choose the layout of columns for your new section.
Select the layout you prefer, then click Save. Note that you can change your layout later by clicking the section settings button if you wish.
IMPORTANT: Sites that are free on the Sporty platform have some fair-use limits on the number of sections you can add to a page. The system will prompt you to upgrade to a subscription plan if you try to exceed the fair-use limits of the free sites.
