How to set up Limited Access SKED Administrators

The SKED Access (Limited) role allows users to be granted access to specific competitions, based on the folders those competitions are placed in.

To grant SKED Access (Limited), the starting point is to ensure that competitions in SKED are within a separate folder. Access is granted at the folder level - so the user will only be able to manage competitions within the folder they’ve been assigned.

Note: If your SKED setup only contains one folder, you won’t be able to grant SKED Access (Limited), as there’s no separate folder to restrict access to.

If your competitions have already been created, you can:

  • Create a new folder.
  • Edit a competition and move it into the new folder.
  • Then, assign SKED Access (Limited) to that folder.

Important: Before granting access, please ensure that any limited SKED administrator has received appropriate training from an existing SKED administrator. Alternatively, you can arrange a training session with the Sporty SKED team at competitions@sportsground.com (note: additional costs may apply).

The original SKED administrators will remain the first point of contact for any SKED-related queries from limited access users.

How to Set Limited SKED Access

  1. Log in to your Sporty account and navigate to the Admin Settings area.
  2. On the left-hand side, select User Access Control.
  3. Click the Fixtures tab.
  4. Select the Folder that contains the competitions that this user should have access to manage. This will automatically limit their access to only the competitions within that folder.

  5. Click Save Changes.

 

What Can Limited SKED Access Users Do?

 

Users with limited SKED access can perform most competition management tasks for the competitions they have access to, including:

  • Editing competition settings
  • Copying competitions
  • Building and editing competition phases
  • Setting preferred venues
  • Adding and deleting games
  • Generating and regenerating draws
  • Moving teams between grades

 

What Can't Limited SKED Access Do?

 

Limited access SKED users cannot perform the following actions:

  • View competitions outside of their assigned folder
  • Create new competitions
  • Access Organisation Settings
  • Export competitions they do not have access to
