SKED is a modern, internet based, sports competition management solution. SKED makes it easy for sports organisers to manage the entry of teams online, generate schedules of games at allocated times and venues and easily publish these fixtures online and for print.
SKED is highly visual, allowing organisers to drag & drop games on a calendar, whilst avoiding clashes and optimising the use of venue capacity. It supports single or multi-phased competitions and lets organisers manually alter any draw if desired. SKED also supports the allocation of officials and the recording of game results to automatically update standings tables.
The finished draws, results and standings can automatically update public websites on the Sporty platform or output to PDF.
SKED was designed based upon direct input from a working group of sports competition managers who are highly experienced with many other competition management products. Their dissatisfaction with those products has led to the development of SKED.
The main steps to creating a competition are:
- An online registration form or SuperForm is created for the relevant season and shared with affiliated clubs/schools who will be entering teams.
- The TeamBuilder utility is used for the entry of teams into each grade.
- The competition manager uses SKED to view all teams entered and generate the draw.
- Draws, results and standings tables/ladders are published online or printed.
