If a player registers with two organisations using different personal details (for example, a different date of birth), the system may not recognise them as the same person. If the details are later corrected, the system will match the records and automatically trigger a transfer.
- The player will remain active with their oldest organisation (i.e. where they were registered first), and have any registrations with their newer organisation revert to a "Pending" state.
- The administrators of the newer organisation will then receive an email notifying that a duplicate registration has been retroactively identified and that their registration has been reverted to "Pending".
- The player can now be actioned as a normal registration & an official transfer can be initiated.
Example
- 01/02/2025 - Percy Lorrance registers as a Football player with Club A. He enters his Date of Birth as 17/01/2002. The registration is approved.
- 01/04/2025 - Percy Lorrance registers as a Football player with Club B. He enters his Date of Birth as 17/10/2002. The registration is approved.
- 22/05/2025 - Percy realises he entered the incorrect Date of Birth with Club A & he updates it to 17/10/2002. Sporty now realises the two Percy's are the same person. His registration with Club B is set to Pending. The Club B administrators receive an email notifying them that a transfer will be required to transfer Percy into their club. Below is an example of the email that is received.
- 23/05/2025 - An administrator from Club B requests for Percy to be transferred to their club.
- 24/05/2025 - The transfer is approved. Club A Updates Percy's registration from "Active" to "Transferred" & Club B updates Percy's registration from "Pending" to "Active".
