When a competition requires the same grades, organisations, and additional questions as a previously created competition, it can be created by copying the original competition to either exist in the current season or in the next season. Modifications can be made to the copied competition team entry form if required however, competition administrators will not need to re-select grades and organisations to include in the new competition.
Once the competition is copied, the associated Team Entry Form will appear in TeamBuilder the same as all other competition Team Entry Forms.

When copying a competition to the current season, there is an option to include the teams that exist in the original competition which eliminates the need for teams to re-enter their details.
Note: To create a competition in the next season, the Player Registration Superform must be first applied.

Create a Copy
Click the Copy Competition button beside the competition name in SKED.
The Copy Competition modal will differ depending on whether or not the Player Registration Form (Superform) for the next season has been applied to your organisation.
View if the upcoming Player Registration Form (Superform) has been applied.
View if the upcoming Player Registration Form (Superform) has not been applied
A warning message will display and the competition will be prevented from being copied.
Copying the competition for use in the same season
Untick the checkbox for Assign copied competition to next season.
If you do not want the current administrators to be copied to the new competition, untick Retain administrators on new competition.
To include the existing teams from the original competition into the copied competition, tick the checkbox for Use existing teams in the new competition.
Click Copy.
Copying the competition for the next season
If the Player Registration Form has been created/applied, the modal will appear as shown below by default.
If you do not want the current administrators to be copied to the new competition, untick Retain administrators on new competition.
Click Copy.
Review/Modify the Copy
Review the settings of the new competition that is being copied and modify as necessary. The fields are pre-populated with the information from the original competition however, click into each field or drop-down option to make the changes as needed.
Field: Select a Player Form...
- this can't be edited because it will always be the same as the competition being copied - it is shown as a visual confirmation of the competition details
Field: Team Entry Form Name
- this can be edited by clicking into the field and entering the desired name however, by default it will display the original Team Entry Form name with '(Copy)' added to the end.
- any extra question fields and products (including groups, triggers, and rules) from the original competition's Team Entry Form will be copied to the new Team Entry Form
- a new Team Entry Form name will not need to be set if you are copying the competition to the same season AND copying the existing teams to the new competition
After clicking Save & Continue, a new modal will open for you to select a folder for the competition to be saved in. Select a folder and click Copy Competition.
